José Alvarenga Junior is a director of commercials, films, and television programs. He also works as a producer and screenwriter. He is known for his work on the iconic series Os Normais (2001) (2002), Divã (2009) (2009), Força-Tarefa (2009) (2009), Supermax (2016) (2016), and Maldivas (2022) (2021 - Netflix). In 2009, Alvarenga was named one of the most influential Brazilians of the year by Época magazine.
