André Ristum

Biography: André Ristum is a director, writer and producer from Brazil. He studied Film at NYU - SCE in 1997, and in the beginning of his career worked as assistant director to Bernardo Bertolucci in "Stealing Beauty" (1995), among others films. His short film "From Glauber to Jirges" (2005) was part of the Venice Film Festival selection. His first feature film "My Country" (2011) received six awards at the Brasília Film Festival. After that, he directed "The Other Side of Paradise" (2014), which won the Best Film award at the Trieste Latin FF. His third feature film "Quietness" (2018) was selected at Malaga FF and awarded Best Director at the Gramado FF. He worked as delegate producer in "The Traitor" (2019) by Marco Bellocchio, selected for main competition in Cannes. In 2021, André will release "  (see all) Colony", his first TV series.
