Biography: Megan Alexander, raised in Cape Town South Africa by parents Sandra Alexander, a former Pageant Queen, turned stay at home mom and Deon Alexander a government worker. Megan knew she wanted to be an actor citing Sandra Bullock as her first notable influence. It was Sandra's humor and on screen charm Megan admired most. She started her career in the arts at age 8 as a choir member performing with her schools Ruyterwacht Preparatory and De Waveren Primary school. In high school she joined her drama club and performed with them for two years, before leaving the drama club and changing schools, her then drama teacher Ms Ferreira gave her a Christmas card reminding her to never give up on her dream and to pursue acting full time. She still has the card to this day. After high school, her parents want  (see all) ed her to study something that would "get her a real job". Megan, however, knew nothing else would ever make her happy, having worked various jobs, tried different careers and studying a BA in Psych, she took the leap in 2019 after having met Tayla Sargent while doing an Amateur theatre piece. Tayla recommended an agent to her, which she signed to a few months later. Megan's TV debut came in 2021 with the film Atlantis and TV movie directed by Meg Rickards. She then went on to play Seamstress, activist and writer Elizabeth Keckley in an adaptation of Abraham Lincolns life and death. Later that year she landed the role of Constable Klaasen in Recipes for Love and Murder alongside Maria Doyle Kennedy. She worked on the film Goodluck Have Fun Don't Die, a Gore Verbinski Indie film starring Sam Rockwell and Zazie Beetz credited as the Middle Aged Woman, Megan pulled off an incredibly nuanced, wacky and weird performance with ease, receiving high compliments from both Rockwell and Verbinski. A versatile actor Megan works across English, Afrikaans and international film and Tv.
