Adhrucia Apana is an actor, writer, and producer, and the founder of Curiosity Entertainment, a film and television production company, and a partner in Storyteller Media, a publishing company distributed by Macmillan. Curiosity develops and packages film and television from IP that Storyteller publishes, which means the company owns its stories from the page forward. Storyteller has 45 titles under contract with its slate full through fall 2027, giving Curiosity a proprietary pipeline of literary IP with audiences already attached.
Apana was a producer on the HBO MAX Emmy Nominated film "The Survivor," directed by Barry Levinson and starring Ben Foster. Her other recent producing credits include "Needle in a Timestack," written and directed by John Ridley and starring Leslie Odom Jr., Cynthia Erivo, Freida Pinto, and Orlando Bloom, and "Capone," starring Tom Hardy.
She co-wrote "Goodman," now in pre-production, and Curiosity's slate includes Fortunate Son & Fake It Till You Make It, developed for Forbes, and Party Poppers a co-production with Panay Films. Her directorial debut is in development and is an original musical, from her own screenplay, with music she co-wrote.
Apana began as a child actor and earned her SAG card as a teenager. She returns to the screen this year in a project to be announced.
